Join and interact with Waynesboro-area historian Ruth Gembe as she leads the March Chat at the Oller House on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10am.
Mrs. Gembe is the genealogist for the Franklin County Library System, along with fellow volunteer Larry George. With Pam Coyle, Ruth established the Pennsylvania Room in 1980s at the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library. Additionally, she also established the Genealogy Room at the Coyle Free Library in Chambersburg, PA in 2001. Ruth has worked with a vast selection of knowledgeable historians and genealogists during her career, and she volunteers for the Society, specializing in the Library and Genealogy Departments.
“Ruth is our go-to person for all things related to ancestry and genealogy. Along with Larry Calimer, we refer to them as the Dynamic Duo of the Society,” states Donna Haugh, president of the Board of Directors for the Society.
Attendees may share their genealogy research at the Chat. This event is free and open to the public, with light refreshments, starting promptly at 10am and limited to one hour.
